I recently booked Geoff Meed to conduct a self-“protection” seminar for our faculty, staff and students at East Los Angeles College. The enthusiasm for Geoff’s presentation afterwards was a loud roar of positive approval. The training Geoff offered was both direct and empowering. He turned the class of meek potential victims into confident warriors. We will have him back!

Children (and adults) can often feel insecure in group martial arts classes due to a variety of factors such as intimidation from more experienced peers, feelings of inadequacy when struggling with certain techniques, or the fear of not receiving enough individualized attention from instructors.

Private lessons can provide a safe and supportive environment for children and adults to build confidence, improve their skills at their own pace, and address any specific challenges they may be facing.

By doing private lessons in your own home, we can tailor our teaching methods to suit you or your child’s learning style, provide personalized feedback and encouragement, and focus solely on the student's progress and development. This one-on-one attention helps the student feel valued and supported, leading to increased self-esteem and motivation to excel in their martial arts training.

So whether you want to earn a Black Belt, or just learn to protect yourself, private lessons can be the way to go!

Private Self-Defense Lessons

We provide 2 hour private self-defense seminars for small groups or businesses.

Geoff is a lifesaver.  I hope to never come across a situation where I need to use the tactics I learned in his class, but if I do, I believe he gave me a (literal) fighting chance.  His seminar was purposeful without being condescending, helpful without being overwhelming, and provided just the right amount of information and tactics to arm me in what can be a scary world.  I felt like Geoff was on my side, and he was patient and focused throughout.  I would hire Geoff again in a heartbeat, and you should, too.

Mr. Meed spent two days training our staff.  We work in the inner city and we regularly have to break up fights, and in some cases protect ourselves.  Mr. Meed first explained the importance of being alert at all times and how to notice early warning signs and then the importance of defusing a situation before it becomes violent.  He demonstrated how to physically intervene to stop a fight with minimal harm to those fighting, and those stopping the fight.  Lastly, he taught our mostly young, female staff how to minimize harm to themselves.
